dual MPLS provider

Hi,

Design question for dual MPLS provider network. What is the advantages/disadvantages of using separate AS number vs same AS number for the same site with the two service providers. Meaning the same customer site is connected to two different mpls provider and the site uses the same AS or different AS. I know both works fine, but just need to weigh out the pros and cons.

In the case we use different AS we will run iGP in the LAN, in case we use same AS we can use same ibgp.

Rana,

There is no difference, as each AS will not leak your AS to the other provider ( unless they have relationship, hence leaking your AS to each other). Do you plan to load-balance? in both direction? Why do you want to use two AS? Do you have two different devision that you want to separate? For simplicity i would go with Single AS.
