While installing ACS 2.3.6 on Solaris core 8 Verify that package files are not missing from the core install:

/usr/lib/, a symlink pointing to /usr/openwin/lib/libX11.s0.4

/usr/lib/, a symlink pointing to /usr/openwin/lib/

Try the following steps to shutdown and restart the Unix service which may solve the issue:

1)Issue the /etc/rc0.d/K80CiscoSecure command to shut down

2)issue the /etc/rc2.d/S80CiscoSecure command to restart

I had the same problem one time and it was from a hardening procedure we did. Is this a fresh install? Have you added any software? Is this the only app on the server? Also, you should still be able to use the CLI to do everything such as add accounts, enable accounts, etc.

It shouldn't matter but try to start/stop the services with this:

$BASE/utils/kcs stop

$BASE/utils/scs start

Also, you can try starting the Fasttrack service by itself by this:

Also, check the output to the logs and see what they say, it's here:

$BASEDIR/logfiles/cs_startup.log file

You may need to set the logging parameters, set these:

Also, set logging on:

set logging=true

That should get you going in the right direction. Let us know how it's going...
