LAN & WLAN Authentication failures in 802.1x

Hi,

I am Authenticating both LAN & WLAN interfaces with 802.1x (and validating with pings)

using Cisco 3750 switch,

After I'm forcing the LAN driver to fail doing the authentication (using invalid username)

I see that there is no connectivity on the wired and the wireless interfaces instead of disconnection only on LAN (wired) side.

is it an expected behavior?

I think that you have connected your wireless access point to the LAN(wired) inorder to get the wireless connectivity to (WLAN).As you are forcing the LAN to fail Authentication by giving wrong username the LAN connection will not be allowed and as this happens the wireless network connectivity(WLAN) which is connected to the LAN will also get disconneted and have no connectivity.Try Using the Wireless access point without connecting to the LAN which will prevent the wlan interfaces from getting disconnected when LAN Authentication fails.
