Have a 2821 running 12.4(9)T Software (C2800NM-SPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(9)T, with four BRI interfaces. Gateway is registered with CCM 4.X and local extensions work fine. Occasionally, the interfaces fail and the TEI sits in a wait state.

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = AWAITING_ESTABLISHMENT

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 4 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x80000003

If i cfg the interface and force the connection with "isdn static tei-0" then all is fine - for a while. Then inexplicably this cfg drops out of the interface and inbound calls from the pstn fail. on-net calls are fine.

Any thoughts on how to nail a more persisitant solution very welcome. tks
