Per-VLAN static routing in 6509 hybrid IOS 12.2

Hi - I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to manage the routes specifically for a VLAN in a hybrid CatOS/IOS setup of a pair of 6509's? Background: I have a VLAN that I would like to route internet traffic through a completely separate circuit than the rest of the campus, but still allow that vlan to access some of my internal subnets for DNS and LDAP. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What you are asking can be done with MPLS but you will need to upgrade your hardware and software to be MPLS aware.

This is the IOS version I am running C6MSFC3-ADVENTERPRISEK9_WAN-M. What all is involved and what would be the steps were I to upgrade, if necessary? Thanks.
