Can SNMP strings have a space in it?
such as:
cisco4500 RO
Notice the space betwen 4500 and RO
Thanks!

I believe that IOS regards a space in the string as a delimiter and therefore the string may not include a space within the string itself.

Im trying to have CER read the switch SNMP strings. But I think it's failing because the network admin put a space in the string.

In the example in your original post is the string really cisco4500 RO? Or is the string cisco4500 and the RO is the indicator that this string is for Read Only access?

We figured it out. The person relaying the information to me was including the space, which or course was not needed.
