Netflow: Enabling Netflow on MSFC?

Unanswered Question
Apr 14th, 2008

I have configured Netflow on the PFC. I did this by using mls commnands. Do I also have to configure Netflow on the MSFC?

ip flow ingress & ip route-chache flow commands enable netflow on the selected interfaces, correct? but I havent used this commands on my devices only the mls commands and I'm getting netflow information. Why would I need to add ip flow ingress & ip route-chache flow.

I have this problem too.

The MLS commands activated the feature set in the hardware while the ip flow commands enable the inspection of routed flows in Layer3 interfaces.

Same idea as enabling ip routing in the global config without assigning an IP to an interface and wondering why they can't ping the interface :)

You need both commands
