DHCP Snooping and Port Channelng

I have an 3560 running 12.2(40)SE IOS. This switch has two trunks in an etherchannel, connecting to a 6509 running 12.2(18)SXF12. Would I apply the *ip dhcp snooping trust* command on both uplinks that make up the EtherChannel?

Yes, you need to have trust enabled on switchports facing the DHCP server and to other switches.

Hi Mike,

You need to apply the "ip dhcp snooping trust" command on the port-channel interface, not on the trunks separately.

On Layer2 etherchanneling, I always recommend mirroring the physical interface configuration with the logical interface configuration.

Actually, that's the way it works when you configure the etherchannel in the first place.

You're right Edison,

Thanks:

Istvan
