Access to Domain resources from a Cisco IPSec VPN Connection

Hi:

I recently installed a Cisco ASA5505 firewall (V8 firmware), and have it configured for IPSec VPN, and connecting using Cisco's VPN client (V5).

I can sucessfully connect via VPN, I can ping internal network machines by IP address and by name, so I know DNS is working.

I can connect to machines remotely using Dameware Mini Remote control, and I can access mapped drives on our PDC/DHCP/DNS (Win2K) server.

What I can't do is access any other shares on the network, either WinXP Pro boxes or our Win 2K3 File Server. I am thinking that what is happening is I am not autehticated on the domain once I connect via VPN.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve Schneebeli

Verify your ACL you may confiured wrongly in your device or any misconfiguration , check that one.

I found my problem was with Windows Firewall. Once I added my VPN subnet to the File and Print Sharing exclusion, everything works fine.
