Is it possible to run an LACP etherchannel with a PAGP etherchannel on the same switch?
I have a HP switches on a blade server which only support LACP and my current environment only uses PAGP. I am testing this on a 3x 2970 with 12.2 IOS in a mesh.

yes u can run both LACP and PAGP on the same switch as is specific to the port channel.

Hi Jason,
You can select the channel-protocol when you create the ether-channel on the interface level similarly to this:
interface fa1/1 - 4
channel-protocol pagp
channel-group 1 mode desirable
So the "channel-protocol [pagp | lacp] is not a global config command.
The "port-channel load-balance" command is a global config command. You can't configure load-balancing on a per interface basis, it is valid on the whole switch.
