In our Network, we recently applied Portsecurity on switches(cisco cat4500). The Security policy scheme is Max no. of Mac per port is 2(1 for PC and 1 for Phone) and voilation scheme shutdown. After that All the ports, which are connected to cisco 7985 phones goes down. We checked the port, it shows 3 MAc's hitted on the port one from PC and 2 from Phone. Then changed the policy as no .of mac is 3. Again the problem came, it shows 4 MAC's (3 from phone and 1 from pc).Finally we found the phone creating multiple MACs when we placing muliple call.

Any one know why it is happening...?
