ASA, startup-config problems

Hi all,

Friends, i tried to config a new ASA 5505, with my old startip-config... I transfer ,,startup-config'' from tstf server OK... but when i reloaded ASA FW the nothing changed...

I think that something need with confreg... maybe its new one (ASA 5505) and something need more what i dont know...

Hi ,

I'm not sure what procedure did you follow. Here is what needs to be done-

Assuming that your config file is old-config.cfg.

Step 1) Copy "old-config.cfg" to ASA flash.

Step 2) Use command "copy old-config.cfg startup-config"

Step 3) Reload using "reload" command.

Note: Do not use "Write Mem" command here.
