but when would I use it?

I recently had an issue where ALL devices in cuom and the CS DCR were deleted accidently. I restored them from a recent cvs export/ import file and all it ok.

Should I now do a restore of the CS backup databases etc?

the only things so far I found we lost we lost are individual settings on call manages where we had turned off "managed state" for services to monitor. would the CS restore bring back those settings?
