IP IVR 4.0(4) Build 140 Updatetool

I am trying to load SR1 for the IP IVR 4.0 on my two servers. I have the sr1 tar file downloaded to the temp directory on each server.

When I click the start / programs / Cisco CRS Update Tool it does nothing. I have tried running the "C:\Program Files\wfavvid\UpdateTool\UpdateTool.exe" from a command line and still did not have any success.

Has anyone ever unzipped the zar file and ran the upgrade that way?

Can you confirm the four IP IVR servers are part of a workgroup and not a domain

Well after somemore research I found out the IP IVR upgrades are actually started by the BARS process.

You start a restore from the BARS app

Then select local directory and point to the TAR update file. (make sure it is on the server running BARS as well as the IP IVR)

You run the process then it tells you to go to the IP IVR server where when you log in there is a browse window to the TAR file.

Its a long drawn out precess but it worked.
