Fiber connectivity is at Full Duplex only.

Hope this answered your question.

What are you wanting to accomplish with running fiber at half duplex? The answer as Sal said is no but there has to be a reason why you want to do this.

Hi there, it is more of a technical question of why we cant do it ?

If you're asking 'can you run fiber using only one strand instead of two' then the answer is yes - with BX SFPs you can use only a single strand, at two different wavelengths.

With fiber, you have either 2 distinct fibers (normal runs) or 1 fiber at 2 wavelengths (BX interfaces), so there's always a dedicated send and receive line - there's no need for half-duplex.
