Wireless card cannot obtain IP address from DHCP

Dear experts:

I have a Cisco Access Point, connected to a Windows Server 2003 network with DHCP enabled.

The wireless card on my new Latitude D530 is not getting de IP address, instead it gets an odd 169.x.x.x number. (Windows XP Pro)

If I manually set all the TCP/IP parameters the connection works perfectly. Other notebooks around connect fine to the access point, so de DHCP server is working fine.

I have downloaded the latest windows updates, and now I will try installing the latest card drivers.

Any idea?

Thank you very much,

After you install new drivers, does your laptop connect fine to other wireless networks. It looks like the issue is isolated to your laptop. I have had issues with my T60 and the fix was to re-image the machine. It seemed like something i installed corrupted my windows utility.
