7936 phone extension not recognized from outside

I have 2 7936's that can not be found from an external call to the main number of our site by extension number. I get a statement that it is an unrecognized extension. I am missing something in the config of these phones but have no idea what...

Hi Philip,


Is the main number something like a Unity Auto Attendant or an actual person trying to transfer? I'm guessing an AA, if so, you could set these Extensions in Unity up as Internet Subscribers, which does not require a User License but does allow them to be listed in the directory and to be able to be dialed from the Call Handler.
