FXS Port in 2801

We have a VIC-4FXS card in a 2801 with a analog phone hooked up to port 0 currently. We are going to hook up a fax machine that ties into CCM 6.01 BE. Whenever we pick up the phone it gets no dialtone and when I dial out it doesn't do anything. If I dial the extension associated with the phone it gets busy signal.

The gateway configuration shows the VIC-4FXS card in it. Port 0/0/0 shows POTS which is the appropriate pool and CSS As the other phones and incoming lines.

Port Direction - Both Ways

Prefix DN - Nothing

Num Digits - 13

Expected Digits - 0

SMDI Port Number - 0

Any ideas or help on troubleshooting this?

Check the line using a phone, if you get busy when calling from outside, either a call got stuck on the 2801, or you have an issue with the line.

Have you checked you have enough dsp resources to support the voice card with a sh invent.also, are u using an mgcp/h323 gateway ?
