We're trying to setup a rate-limter to protect the vlan management interface. No matter what we try, it is still overwhelming the switch CPU to 99%.
Basically, we have a traffic generator sending IP traffic to the SVI. We use the VLAN interface level rate-limit feature and does not work. We even created a policy-map with policer and attached it to the inbound but still does not work.
I even went as far as playing with all the mls rate-limit features but no-go.
Anybody have any feature they implemented and works?
Platform is a Cat6000 with Sup720 running 12.2(18)SXF13a code.
Thanks a lot!
