RPS 2300 switch on order mode

Please can you tell me how we can connect up 2 switches to a RPS 2300.

In what order and what lights do we see on the RPS. Also which state should the RPS be - active or standby? Either the switches are up and running or not.

Also, in what order do we shut the switches and RPS down if we need to remove the RPS.

Is this order correct:

1. At first, to press the Active/Standby button on the switch to place the RPS in Standby mode so that the Active/Standby LED light is blinking amber, ( wait for some time) and then to press it again so that the Active/Standby LED light is now green (while doing this, the switches may reboot)

2. If option 1 does not work,

a. Press the Active/Standby button to put the RPS in standby mode. Active/Standby button LED light should show blinking amber

b. Shut down the RPS and remove the RPS cables from the switches (Again the switches may reboot)

c. Make sure that the Switches are up and running and in a steady state

d. Turn on the RPS

e. Put RPS in standby mode by pressing the Active/Standby button. The LED light should show blinking amber

f. Connect the cables back

g. Press the Active/Standby button to put the RPS in Active mode. Active/Standby button LED light should show steady green

Thanks

The RPS 2300 has a Select button and a Standby/Active button on the front of the fan module. You can use these buttons to select an RPS port to place the RPS 2300 or an individual port in active or standby mode. Use the Select button to select all RPS ports or an individual port. Use the Standby/Active button to change the selected port (or all ports) between standby mode (blinking amber) and active mode (solid green). The STDBY/ACTIVE LED displays the port status.

To change the RPS 2300 or an individual port to standby or active mode, follow these steps:

Press the Select button. When you press it the first time, all ports are selected, and all six port LEDs blink amber and green.

Continue pressing the Select button until the desired port blinks amber and green.

Press the Standby/Active button to place the port in either standby or active mode.
