Hi,

We have 6513 switch which is capable of configuring Jumbo frames. We have Juniper router connected to 6513 and using Internet 2. I am confused to set up MTU and relevant adjustments on both.I believe default MTU = Default IP MTU on cisco am i true? if not what adjustments do i have to make on both ends and configure MTU.

Thanks

Kiran

I have this problem too.

Hello Kiran,

MTU applies to interface driver where IP MTU

is for the ip packets. In cisco devices, we MTU values affect IP MTU values but not vice versa.

Jumbo frames MTU is global MTU value specified

on the port asics.
