Just want to know if there is any bug issues with a 2950 ver 12.1.

We are trying to PXE boot a server over the WAN the 2950 clientside has dhcp snooping enabled but when I take it away the client can PXE boot no problem!! any known issues?

You must enable 'trusting' of the ports connected to both the DHCP server(s) and the RIS/ADS Server. This could be access ports directly to servers or the uplinks to a distribution/core switch.

interface GigabitEthernet0/1

ip dhcp snooping trust

This is something I have been testing today and sucessfully got this working after understanding how the conversations work.

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately my problem didn't get fixed that easily. It looks like this:

client1---2950switch2---3560switch1---WAN-MPLS---DHCP

I have "trusting" enabled on the trunks between the 2 switches and on the port connected to the WAN.

If I move the client to switch1 everything works perfectly, that's why I was wondering is ther any issues with the 2950 IOS and dhcp snooping?

Any more ideas what did you use in you tests?

Tyrone
