Hi
Would you please explain what does this mean for the Error traffic threshold:
"The upper threshold for packet rate, expressed as a percentage of the total bandwidth"
Does "total bandwidth" refer to the interface speed - 100M, 1G etc? Or it refers to the total current interface load?
This question is valid for all thresholds where "total bandwidth" is referred:
Broadcast threshold
Error traffic threshold
Utilization threshold
Thanks in advance,
Mladen

Max speed is just another way of stating ifSpeed. Though faster interfaces require DFM to look at ifHighSpeed.

Total bandwidth refers to the ifSpeed or max speed of the interface.

I should also note that even if the HighErrorRate event says "total bandwidth" it is built based on the current traffic rate.

Thanks,
For ifSpeed, it is clear - comes from the IF-MIB. But what about the "max speed"?
