Is their any IOS version for a 1720 that allows router on a stick config?

I do not believe that there is a version of code for the 1720 which supports VLAN trunking. So I believe that router on a stick does not work on 1720.

Rick,

That's what I was remembering too. I haven't had the need in years so I didn't remember. I believe the 1721 will work, but I don't have one to test.

Thx,

Phil

Hi Phil,

Cisco 1721 works just fine. I have used it quiet a few times for this purpose.

Hi,

IEEE 802.1Q VLAN Routing is not supported on Cisco 1720 router.

There is no IOS which would provide you this functionality on 1720.

Sushil,

That's what I needed to see - the 1721 does support it.

Thx,

Phil
