I believe cold start is the router shut down then power back up.
How come the result from show ver said router had been reload instead of power on?

Hi,
When you reload the router using the reload command this is also called a cold restart and the show version shows "System returned to ROM by reload", please check the below document for further details about cold and warm reload:

Hello Johnson,
It seems that the router is reloaded by the
"reload" command.
It would display as " returned to ROM by power on " when there is complete power shutdown to router which is a cold start.
