hi, there what techinal difference actually exist between catalyst 3750 and cat3750 metro series? are metro series only available on 3750? tq

The 3750 Metro series has different software features then the LAN 3750 series, don't know how different the hardware is although I believe the 3750 Metros doesn't have the stack ports.
There are other Metro switches, including a variant of the 6500. See those under "Metro Ethernet Switches" at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/index.html

cat doesnot work as LSR/LER but 3750 ME works. apart from this it has good qos features.
