Can any one advice on the SFP connectors to be used on the router.
I am planning to order GLC-T= 1000BASE-T SFP for Cisco 3845 Series Router. Is the SFP for Cisco Catalyst compatible to Cisco Router?

Hi,
As mentioned in the earlier post GLC-T is compatible with 3845 router.
But please make a note that this router comes with 2 GE RJ-45 interfaces and one SFP slot.
Now you can't use all these three ports at the same time. You can use only two interfaces.
If you look at the rear panel of the router you'll find that GE 0/0 is common for one RJ-4 interface and one SFP. Another RJ-45 interface is named GE 0/1.
So be cautious if you are planning to have three interfaces its not possible with this combination.
I have a very hard time when I proposed this to one of my customers and didn't considered this fact. :)
