I have 2 image files on the bootflash of C4948, it always boot by first image whatever I configured second image file as

boot-start-marker

boot system flash bootflash:second image.bin

boot-end-marker

or

boot-start-marker

boot system flash second image.bin

boot-end-marker

Can anyone correct me? Thank you.

For example:

no boot system flash bootflash:oldimage.bin

boot system flash bootflash:newimage.bin

Edit:

Verify the boot config with "sh bootvar"

I did't configure the old image in "boot system", it's from default setting.

According to the show bootvar, it looks like the path is wrong.

BOOT variable = bootflash:cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-31.SG.bin,1;

CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist

BOOTLDR variable = bootflash:cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-31.SG.bin

Configuration register is 0x2101

BTW, it shows use first image automatically during the booting.
