how to debug ccm4.1?

Hi, I'm a newbie in this area, can anybody tell me how to debug ccm? say: check why register fail? check why call fail?

Is there a log file to say something? or some tool can help me to troubleshoot?

as gogasca mentiones the traces are the best way to tell why something fails

Set Up Cisco CallManager Traces for Cisco Technical Support

You'll need Paul's book for some training on how to read and understand them
