I'm running hybrid mode on sup720s and couple weeks ago active sup failed over to standby sup with no apparent reason and when I do show redundacny it says cause of switchover "unsupported" anyone know what that means? I'm running 8.5.2 in cat os and 12.2(18)SXF4 on the MSFC.

Are you sure that you have the same IOS version/feature set on both of the RP's on both of your 720's? One of the few requirements to run SSO is Identical hardware, and software on both supervisors. Do you have any log messages when the switchover occurred?

Of course I have same version of code on both active and stadnby sup and msfc, this is the basice that SSO or SRM would not if the code level is different.

Just to cover the bases, did the failed module recover from the crash? If you do a 'show mod', what is the status of the mod that failed?
If it's still in a crashed state, I'm assuming you could connect a console cable to that sup and see whats going on. I know in native mode a crash file is usually generated.

Status show OK on both sup and connectivity is normal as week. I have found that another 6500 with sup720 had the same issue but it didn't failed over.
Here is the erorr log in the MSFC

Any clue what could be going on? A software issue or hardware issue?
