Call Pickup Group issue

We are experiencing an issue with call pickup groups in CUCMBE 6.1. Currently, we have 4 incoming lines that get routed to 5001 - 5004, depending on the previous line's status. These extensions are in a call pickup group called “mainline”. Since we are unable to configure “Overlay” mode on our 7912's (as we have with our current CME 3.4 setup) to ring all of the incoming lines, we added the extensions for those 7912's to the pickup group. The problem is that if an internal user calls another internal user (both within the pickup group) then all of the other phones in the same group get the call notification. Most of their reactions are to believe that a call is coming in on the main line and to pick it up, which is causing confusion.

Is there any way to have the pickup notification only go off for calls to extensions 5001 - 5004 and not on calls from 10XX - 10YY? The main line extensions are in a separate partition, with a pickup number of 5555 in the same partition.

Have you configured any hunt group where any calls coming in to the line is broadcasted to al the group members?
