VG 248/Analog port Fast Busy

Hi all,

I have an analog phone hooked upi to a VG248. As soon as I go off hook I get a fast busy.

The port is enabled and CCM 4.1.3 config is similar to working ports.

Any ideas,

Hi Randall,

When you say the port is enabled did you telnet or console into the VG and enable it? (just curious) Is the corresponding Lamp on the front of the VG lit even before a phone is connected? If so the wiring from the RJ21 cable or cross-connect may have a short. This will give a permanent off-hook or "lockout" fast busy.

Hi Rob

I am facing the above issue,I configured the VG248 gateway and registered it with CUCM 4.1.3.

when i connected the fax i got fast busy signal i tested all the ports from 1-24 and 25 - 48.

Could you please tell me what might be the issue and how i can resolve it.
