Phones Not Registering In Cucm 6.1

Hi guys,

I got lab with following:

1 x MCS 7845 --> CUCM 6.1

1 x 3750 Poe Switch --> DHCP is configured on switch

3 x IPT Phones (7965 / 7961 / 7911 )

I have installed everything properly and the phones can pickup the IP Address from DHCP Server (which is configured on 3750)

My TFTP server is also configured properly and phone can pick the corrct IP of TFTP Server.

Phones can also see the CallManager.

I can ping all phones from CUCM 6.1 but cannot get them to register.

Problem:

My phones are displaying only one word "Registering"

Has anyone encounter this problem? What does 'registering' means? do I need to enable any option?

Can you get to status messages by going to "Settings" -> "Status" on your phone

what are the steps you are taking to set up the phones/devices in ccm.

Have you set up option 150?

that is the only thing i can think of that you haven't done

hi, I have configur dhcp/tftp properly.

On my phone's network settings, I can see the CallManger IP address, DHCP Server address, Phone is picking the IP from the DHCP pool. Option 150 is configured properly.

But the phone LCD is only displaying...."Registering....."

I ahve checked some other forums and I have been advised it could be a licensing issue, but I dont think I need a license for only two phones in lab use. What you guys think?

Hi, I have checked the status messagees on my phones and they all give me the same message. I got the following message on all of my phones:

"SEP001XXXXXXXXX.cnf.xml"

"No CTL Installed"

"File not found: CTLFile.tlv

Please advise if thats the reason and how I can fix it?

Do you have "Auto Registration" enabled

hey guys,

there was a problem with CallManager. The servic was shutting itself down every 20 seconds, I guess the prev. installation was corrupted.

I tried restarting the service several times, but no success so I reinstalled it all over again and its working sweeeeet :)
