Is there any way to run the 32 bit VPN client software on a 64 bit Windows XP machine?

This is only possible if you run it in a 32 bit VM, which is unweildy.
64-bit versions of the VPN client are available for Windows Vista and Windows 7, in the 5.0.7 release, now in public beta.
