It depends upon the number of things.

I am using Cisco 7204VXR (NPE-G2 and is working perfectly fine with full DS3.

Yes patrick I have seen people using 3845 using full DS3. Infact we were using this router for DS3 for a long time then moved to 7204 as we needed a metro ethernet link on the same router.

So you use this 3845 foor Full DS3. But it really depends upon your requirements of efficiency and other factors.

Much depends on whether this router will need to also deal with complete Internet route tables and what other services you might run on it.

In the attached performance chart, any router with a forwarding rate of 200 Kpps, or better, will likely handle a DS3.

3825/3845 should suffice your need for a Full DS3.
