I think I have a list of what I will get for my lab, the basic models of equipment will be 2- 2610's(non-XM)routers and 1 - 2924XL switch. I know this set up will not be able to handle MPLS PE, and It may or may not handle trunking.

This set up should help me practice for my CCNA?

Its a good start. If i were you and have little bit of extra money, i would get a router which has atleast 2 ethernet interfaces and have atleast 3 routers minimum. !

Connect 3 routers like a loop and play with it.

Good luck on your CCNA !.

I would recommend that you have at least one router with a fast ethernet interface (the 2620 is a good model). This will allow you to play with trunking and do things like "router on a stick". You will be a little bit limited, but it should help you through the CCNA.

Good Luck!

i would like to recommend for u to get a 2950 switch instead of 2924, 2950 will allow to practice vlan and related items if u decide to expand ur lab in the future

I am afraid, I have already ordered the 2924 and the 2950 is so much more, my cost overhead has to stay a little lower.... I am still checking on the 2620 though.... will any do for having a Fast Ethernet connection?
