AP with limited range.

Hi,

I hope this is the right place for my question.

We need to setup an office with complete wireless network. I just want to know what devices are good if we want to limit the wireless to some particular range. I mean that we do not want our devices to be visible to outside users. If we can limit this on the device at some spots as required ?

Please guide.

You can look into getting directional antennas. It is also possible to set the power down low enough on a cisco access point so that the signal does not propagate outside of the building as well. If you do a good site survey, you can manage this very well.

Are you going to create some open access, or secure access?
