hi everyone,
i had this on my router
Neighbor V AS MsgRcvd MsgSent TblVer InQ OutQ Up/Down State/PfxRcd
10.254.5.182 4 21302 41005 13798 0 0 0 02:51:07 OpenSenti was unable to ping the nei router10.254.5.182.Is it problem with circuit or bgp???

Mahesh,
You need IP connectivity to the neighbor address before you can establish a neighbor relationship to it. So unless you have an ACL that specifically denies ICMP, not being able to ping means that you will not see that neighbor relationship forming. You should definitely check the circuit first.

Mahesh,
If you are using the directly connected interface IP address for the ping and it is not successful, I would suggect getting together with the service provider or whoever is responsible for that link to troubleshoot the basic IP connectivity. Unitil you determine the basic IP connectivity issue, you don't even need to care about the BGP session.
