My CCME often has one or two DN get hung. No tones come out of the phone. I tried to remove the DN but got the message: 'DN 2 has active call on interface 50/0/2 CH1.Cannot unconfigure'. My only solution is to reload the CCME. Do you have any better ways to kill the active DN?

I believe it's an issue with phone FW.
Go on CCO CME area, locate and download CME124-4XC4.ZIP.
From there, extract P0030070T023.tar, and upgrade the 7940 with this firmware.
It's the only FW that never presented the problem in my case.
