7914 Expansion Module Problem

I added a 7914 to a7971G phone and the side car is not displaying the phone button template assigned to the device. I do have the phone template assigned and configured in CM and also have the expansion module configured in CM as well. I have rebooted and reset the phone. Side Car lights are all red. Is there a CM Service related to this that I can try to restart?

You have the correct load files on your CallManager for the 7914?

The 7914 is cabled correctly on the RS232 jacks?

If the phone is registered it shouldnt be a CM service problem.

Double check the physical stuff, then check your loads etc.

Do the lights come up red straight away? or does something else happen first?

On the phone, go to settings > status > expansion modules. Does the phone show one connected?

Then just check settings > status > status messages on the phone also.

Thank you for your response. I tried everything you suggested and then some. I decided to reset the phone to factory defaults and have it reload the firmware. After doing this, the expansion module came up fine and is working great. Thank you for the assistance.
