Hi,

I'm using a CCM 4.1 and a Cisco 2801 (adv ip services) with PVDM-64 and VWIC-2MFT-E1.

When i try to configure pri-group timeslots using the commands : pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp I have the following error message :

%Insufficient resources to create pri-group - it has been removed

Could please see for me what could be the problem ?

P.S : the 2801 router is not a bundle voice, i have just added the PVDM card.

Hi Dominique,

I have seen this in a few instances where the VWIC is installed in slot 0 instead of slot 1. (only WIC modules are supported in slot 0.

Hope this helps!

Ok, but i think it is not the case for me. See the attached file for the 'sh diag' command response. it indicates that PVDM2-64 is installed on PVDM slot 1.

have a look on this attachment pls.

Rob never mentioned the PVDM2 module on the wrong slot, but the VWIC in slot 0 when it should be in slot 1.

see what you have:

VIC Slot 0:

E1 (2 port) Multi-Flex Trunk WAN daughter card

ok ok , excuse me. So I need to replace the VWIC card on slot 1 instead of slot 0.

Let me try it...

Thanks Rob & Javalenc.

Hi Dominique,

I think this clip shows the issue;

VIC Slot 0:

E1 (2 port) Multi-Flex Trunk WAN daughter card

Hardware revision 1.0 Board revision D0

Serial number 34010819 Part number 800-04479-03

FRU Part Number VWIC-2MFT-E1=

It does show a VWIC in VIC Slot 0 which is not supported on a 2801. Can you try moving the VWIC-2MFT-E1.

Hope this helps!

Rob
