Moving CUCM from virtual machine to real machine

Hey Guys,

Currently running CUCM on a virtual machine in the lab, hopefully the company will soon by licences etc so it can be put into production.

Can I create a backup of the virtual machine, and restore that to a brand new real machine, without issues?

I've done exactly what your asking and did not having any issues. Basically, backed up the database to a remote location. Brought up the Production servers and made sure it matched exactly the same ip address and name as the VM server. Did a restore and all was good?

Keep in mind that version and patch level should be the same on both.
