CUCM6.x SCCP vs SIP loads on Phones for remote workers - will this work OK?

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I have a customer who wishes to connect several remote workers to a CUCM6.x server. In CCM4.x I always used SCCP with a site-to-site IPSec tunnel thereby having removing any NAT. This customer does not have VPN capable routers at the remote worker sites therefore I was thinking of putting SIP loads on the remote phones and using NAT. Are there any issues with this solution? Is there feature transparency between SCCP and SIP phones (all Cisco 79xx series)? Are there any gotcha's or restriction of using a SIP load I should be aware of?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
