We just rolled out several 7942s as replacements for old 7940Gs, and most of the users are complaining about poor sound quality. It seems to be related to the wideband handset, since it improves when we swap in a standard handset.
We are running CUCM 4.1(3)sr6a with phone load 8.3.3s.
I assume we are running into CSCso71668, but from the bug details, it isn't clear to me whether this is something that will be fixed, or whether this is the way Cisco intended for these phones to work, and the users are just not used to the way it sounds.
Is anyone else experiencing this, and are there any other workarounds?
