External callers are not hearing MOH if the call goes through intercluster trunk (eg. Caller dial to UK which routes the call to another country/location via intercluster trunk).
Caller can hear the other party at far end, but when put on hold, no MOH is heard. No problem with internal calls (DN from one location calls another DN in another location via the trunk), only external calls are affected.
Unicast MOH is used.
Any advise is appreciated.

Hi Esther
Check that ICT has an MOH server configured in a MRGL either in the device itself or DP
Check also that codec G711 as well as G729 are selected under IPVMS service parameters

We will check that. Meanwhile, pls see below on what we have tested:
1. One cisco phone calls through the intercluster trunk to another cisco phone/agent, MOH is working.
2. External call to one number in Cluster 1 which routes over to Cluster 2 via the trunk, Agent (UCCX) picks up but no MOH is heard when agent put callers on hold).

What he hears? Tone on hold or just silence
Check that GW n cluster 1 is able to reach
MOH server in cluster 2 (Ip connectivity)
Check codecs as well

Thanks for your help.
It works now, after configuring IPVMS parameter to include G729.
