Monitoring Call Manager and Unity Connection

We are looking at using Host Monitor. other than calling phones listed in call manager and checking your voice mail, is there some services we can check to make sure eveything is working as normal with a remote monitoring program?

As far as your call manager/unity is concerned, you could use RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool) to alert you of any major issues.
