I was reading the CM 6.1.2 Release notes and there is a step below-
Step 3 Use an md5sum utility to verify that the MD5 sum of the final file is correct.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a particular utility that they have used.

Hi Shane,
If you're using linux, you probably have md5sum already. Go to your command line and type either "which md5sum" or "man md5sum".
On windows, the popular choice is "md5sum.exe"
The .exe:
http://etree.org/cgi-bin/counter.cgi/software/md5sum.exe
Usage example, linux & windows:

Usage example, windows only:
Hope that helps!

Hi Shane,
These 2 are suggested by Cisco in another platform area;
Tip To obtain a GNU utility called md5sum, which you can use to check the MD5 hash value of any file, go to
http://www.gnu.org/directory/textutils.html.
Alternatively, see http://directory.fsf.org/coreutils.html.
Both of these seem to work very well :)
Hope this helps!
