Certification question

Just a quick question about recertifying.

My CCNP expires on 15 June, 3 years ago it expired on June 30.

Im now planning on doing the CCNP 642-812 BCMSN exam on May 30.

Why doesn't Cisco extend the grace period to my original certification date?

Every three years I effectively have 2 weeks less to prepare (2 weeks gives me plenty of time to review & re-sit if I failed for some reason).

Has anyone raised this before or am I the only one who thinks we get done out of 2 weeks?

thanks Peter.

So what if you recertify 6 months after getting your CCNP, should that make you good for the next 5.5 years?

Unfortunately, you gotta take the tests every 3 years or less for the CCNP.

Recertifying every 3 years is fine, my issue is just with the crtification dates..

If I recertify on 30 May why cant my new certifcate be valid until 15 June 2011...

i.e. 3 years from when my current certification expires...
