I have 20+ Cisco Aironet 1100's. What I would like to do is create 2 SSID's 1 to be broadcasted and the other not. The one that is not broadcasted is going to be in use for 802.1x with a RADIUS server. The SSID that is broadcasted would like the be unsecured and have guests connect to it and then send that that signal to some sort of "portal" for a logon for the guests.
Seems I cannot do this now because the the security is a global option.
I cannot get one SSID to be unsecured and the other secured. Do I need VLAN's?

If you purchase a Wireless Lan Controller - you can do all the above with the web portal.
If you are running in autonomous mode - IOS, then you can have most of the above, just not the web portal I stand corrected if you can.

Like Andrew mentioned, you would need an WLC to have custom web login pages. If this cost too much, you can try to 2hotpot or zonecd. Hope this helps...
