Pls give your suggest. I've connected back-to-back smart serial interface (WIC2T) between 2811 routers
"Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(9)T7"
It's simplify but it doesn't work. From CMD "show controller" on both router show that both interface are DTE V.35 type.
Is there anybody know why the router has got DCE cable attached isn't DCE V.35 on show controller cmd ?

Hello,
have you configured the clock command on the DCE side of the link ?
In a back to back lab setup one router interface has to provide the clock and the rate. (L1 DCE).
If you are using Frame-Relay encapsulation you need also to configure one side as the L2 DCE with the frame-relay intf-type dce command in interface configuration mode
Hope to help

DTE female(female) with DTE male then It doesn't work.
Many thank.

Hello,
so this explains why the cable was sensed as DTE at both sides: both routers were right in telling that.
I haven't thought about this possible scenario.
Cabling problems are never overlooked !
I'm glad you solved this problem.
best regards
Giuseppe
